So anyway, I live in New Jersey, and if you have been following the weather channel, you would know that most of the midwest, southern states and the entire east coast of the USA got hit by that storm. Who knew Texas would get a white Christmas, and NJ didn't?
So I have no school today :D, and that means SNOW DAY. But my happiness went away as soon as it came... :(
I tried to make a snowball, and then it just fell apart into some white powder that looks like crack, and I'm like WTF? You can't sled, make snowballs, or make a snowman in this! All you can do is look at it, and the whole point of a "snow day" is to play in the snow and ruin the fresh sheet of it.
I'm waiting for the sun, and cold air to make the snow harder and more compacted so it can actually be of my use. There's another thing, I don't get. Why does my school district only give us two snow days? TWO! This is freakin' NJ! I'm like an hour away from NYC, and in the winter, you will always see a blizzard coming our way. Make it like 4 snow days.. two snow days for make North Carolina, but not for the fuckin' Garden State.
I can't really do anything about that :( so I'll just have to deal. The really cool thing about snow is that when the wind blows, and small layer of snow spins midair in a spiral, and it looks... well... EPIC.
But I want to sled in the snow, and my only other option is shoveling, which shouldn't even be an option, because I'm saving that job when I go through my mid-life crisis.
;)
xoxo
